Living off the grid: Cottage Update

4 walls are up! We are getting closer to having a roof! This is a picture of the front window and door openings. You have to use your imagination but I hope my next post will have the windows and maybe even a roof

Hubby working hard even when the sun starts to set

I got to the cottage later than expected Friday night. It's about an hours drive from our house in the city so by the time I got there the sun was setting.

Cooper's first time at the cottage. He was in doggy glory running through the tall grass

View from the back window

Without our beloved generator this project wouldn't have happened

The view from the soon to be front window. Looking across at the river. I know it's hard to see but when you are there you can see it better.

Cooper still having a blast! he is now 8 months old

Working hard framing in the door and picture window

Another front window picture

Hubby and Jada. Notice how the plywood looks old and used? well my hard working husband salvaged it and paid 0$ for it. All he had to do was work hard at knocking down walls, pull out the nails, hull it down to the land, cover for the winter and wait for spring to start the build. Oh and work his crazy long hours at work on top of all this. He is now waiting for his next job placement sop he has lots of free time to build:)
