Just Because

This is just some of our cloth diaper stash. Getting ready for baby #2 has been fun, collecting more diapers and washing everything up. Mother nature and my bank account will thank me:)

Beet Juice Painting

Yup Beet Juice Painting. I wanted to do this for years and years but just never got aroung to buying beets. I have no idea what we are going to do with the beets but we won't let them go to waste.




Just pour some of the juice from the jar of beets and let you child go wild.

It's probably a good idea to use thick paper as Jada painted a nice hole in one of her paintings.

Apple Harvest And Apple Pie Making

This year I have decided to make apple pie with the children. Mind you I have two babies in my care right now so this is going to be simple apple pie:)

Also keep in mind I have never made a apple pie before in my life!

First we took Jada apple picking at our favorite local apple orchard. We went 2 weeks earlier this year so we didn't get our favorite apples but we still had fun and came home with a large bag full.

See I do my child's hair once in a while ha-ha!

I had to crop this picture to hide my baby bump. I am in that awkward stage of just looking very fat!

Now onto the apple pie baking................................................................

First we cut and washed our apples

Then stirred the flour, apples, sugar and cinnamon together

Remember I said this had to be simple? well I bought 2 pie crusts from the grocery store. So everything in the bowl went into the shell. We topped it off with some butter then put the top crust on and slit some holes in it for vents.

We baked it for 40 minutes at 350F


It's not the best looking pie but it is so tasty and as promised it was simple:)

Better late than never! I'm in slow mode these days as you can tell by my lack of blogging.

I found this cool container that looks like a apple or a pumpkin. I was going to paint it but then I would be limited to what I use it for.

Happy Birthday Jada (Tuesday Sept 6)

Wow it's been a while since I wrote a blog post! first I was sick, then my camera batteries died and I finally got new ones last weekend and I had family visiting and I was on vacation. So now that I'm feeling better I can join society again:) Jada had many, many birthday parties over the past few weeks and no real huge party this year. I feel kinda bad but just wasn't feeling up to all the planning and preparing.


Jada is growing her bangs out so please avert your eyes from her forehead ha-ha


My mom and dad gave Jada this really cool Melissa and Doug locking puzzle. Each house has a different way or locking the door. Love this toy and so glad Jada does too!
It's been super busy here with new babies starting daycare so I haven't had time to take pictures but I hope to get into our groove again soon:)
