Water Bead Play ~Texture/sensory
So we finally are joining the ever growing fans of water bead play. I have to say these are so much fun and are so versatile
We weren't expecting them to be so bouncy!
This is where I got tired of trying to catch them as they bounced all around the kitchen hoping the dog wouldn't eat them. The towel helped a lot with this
Then we got creative and added some valentine silicone cupcake molds
Jada would stop every once in a while just to run her hands through the beads. I tried it and it was a very nice calming feeling
Thanks for looking and I love reading your comments. Please see my sidebar for all the great blogs I link up to:)
I am loving all the different activities I keep seeing with these water beads! Everything looks so fun...I must remember to pick some up!! (Thanks for the towel tip, our dog would eat them too!)
Cool! I never thought to add our glass beads to water! Sooooo doing this this afternoon. Love the tagline to your blog - totally agree with you...all about process.

Love these waterbeads- seen them several times now on the net. Where can I purchase them? I'd love to subscribe to your blog via email if I can? You have such great ideas! Thanks for sharing, eh? Your fellow Canadian {living in T.O}. Sabrina
I just came back from Walmart where I found the beads! Unfortunately I noticed a warning on the back stating something to the effect that the beads may cause reproductive problems, etc, etc. I decided to opt out....boo hoo- I really wanted to get these for my kids!
Tracy yes they are. Just be careful not to give this activity to young toddlers who put them in their mouth. I hear they have some pretty nasty chemicals in them??

I love touching those! Thank you for sharing.
We still haven't tried these, yet. It looks like fun. Is the middle picture a close-up of the beads or did they get really BIG?

You should try putting them over a light table. Way cool effect. They grow really cool. Don't you just love how they feel?
