The PreSchool Activity Trunk

And Before:
I must be the only person who goes thrift store shopping while on vacation. We recently went to visit my husband in Estevan, Saskatchewan. It boarders on North Dakota (where we went shopping of the non thrift variety) Anyway I found this trunk and decided to paint it upAfter a few days of thinking about what to do with it, I decided it was perfect for our preschool activities as this is Jada;s last year at home before big school. I have decided to pull all my materials together and once a week rotate the focus and materials in the trunk.
For now there is a Mickey mouse activity book and some High 5 magazines that have lots of problem solving activities in them. Come September we will be adding in some Teach my preschooler activities purchased from www. teachmy.com We have been using teach my toddler for the past few years and when the preschool pack came out I jumped on it.I will try to post as we change out of focus:) thanks for looking and please see my sidebar for all the great blogs I link up to:)

Cowboy Sensory Bin

Yehaw Cowboys and girls! I wanted to do something a bit different for fall this year. Yes, I am early posting this because I am not sure if I can get time in September to post. So I kept the fall feeling in this bin by using corn kernels. Also in the bin is alphabet noodles, cow, horse, sheriff badge, plastic cowboy hats and boots, cactus, plastic cowboy people, coyote, and cowboy themed erasers. I want to point out that I try to reuse food items in future sensory bins. This is also the case with the plastic plants and animals as well.

Little Red Riding Hood Sensory Bin

Jada want's to be Little Red Riding Hood for Halloween so I decided to put together a Sensory Bin in the same theme. I planned to add a house, basket etc but there is just no room in this bin. Maybe next time
I used rice dyed green, pinecones, wood trees, mushrooms, white rocks a peg doll and a wolf.
